Carob is a good carbohydrate and natural energy source. It contains riboflavin, calcium, potassium, copper and manganese, and is high in insoluble dietary fibre. It has less fat than cocoa and three times more calcium than milk. It has no caffeine and no theobromine, so has no addictive qualities (unlike chocolate) See our dedicated carob page.
